If you're a newbie, or just low in NeoPoints, you can visit the Soup Kitchen for free food! Simply click on the pet that you want to feed, and the Soup Faerie will give your pet some soup to fill it up. This is a helpful tool for newbies when they don't have enough NeoPoints to buy food. But there is a catch; you have to be under 3,000 NeoPoints to be able to get this free service. Not 3,000 NeoPoints on hand, but all together. The Soup Faerie knows how much NeoPoints you have in your bank, shop till, and on hand.
You can also get an avatar from the Soup Kitchen. You will randomly get the avatar shown below when feeding your pet at the Soup Kitchen. This is one of the most easy avatars to get when you start your Neopets' experience.
