Was This Helpful?
The Mystery Island Training School is one of many ways to increase your pet's
ability in the Battledome. In exchange for codestone(s), your Neopet's abilities will rise. Below are
the abilities that your pet can study.
Strength- This stat increases the damage your pet does.
Defense- This stat makes your opponent's attack less damaging.
Movement- This stat makes your pet faster in battle.
Endurance- This stat is also know as Hit Points. The more endurance your pet
has,
the longer it will take for your opponent to defeat you!
Level- This stat is also important. Your pet needs to be at a high
enough level to be able to study any of the stats shown above.
Interested? The Mystery Island Training School accepts codestones as payment.
What is a codestone? A codestone is a stone that costs between 8,000 to 10,000 NeoPoints
on the Shop Wizard. So, training your pet is no cheap matter! Be sure to
have lots of NeoPoints on you, as they will ask for a random codestone, and each
codestone has a different cost. Sometimes you may even find one on the floor!

Now, when you paid the codestone, you will have to wait for the training session to
finish. The higher level your Neopet is at, the longer it will take for the session to complete.
The cost will also rise; it may raise from 1 codestone to 2 codestones. Below is a table
from the Neopets' site regarding the cost and time of each course.
| Course Type |
Neopet Level |

However, a cheaper alternative to the Mystery Island Training School is the
Swashbuckling Academy, located in Krawk Island. Dubloons, used as payment is
half the price of a codestone (ranging from 4,000 to 5,000 NeoPoints vs. from 8,000 to 10,000 NeoPoints).
However, there is a catch, courses take double the time to complete than in the Training School.
Nevertheless, I strongly suggest using the Swashbuckling Academy because it saves you NeoPoints.
But, when your Neopet reaches level 40, you have to either go to the Training School in Mystery Island,
or stop training your pet!
I hope this guide helped you learn more about the Mystery Island Training School.
