Once your site has a name, and is filled with content, you'll probably want to have affiliates.
What is an affiliate, you may ask? An affiliate is a site that links to you, and you have to link to them.
Affiliates are supposed to be friends and help each other out in times of need.

First, to get an affiliate, you must go to a site and look around. If you like their site, and
would like to be affiliates with them, find their form to apply for affiliate. First things first. READ THE RULES. Sometimes
I get annoying applications from people who don't read the rules. Be sure to read the rules at least twice.
It can't hurt to be clear with the rules. Then, make sure that you meet the rules, or exceed them.
It can never hurt if your site is better than the application's expectations. Fill out the form, and
make sure that you explain why you want to be affiliates, even if they don't tell you to. Make it a point to
describe why you want to be affiliates. Don't just say: "Your site is awesome" or "I need more hits". You
will just get rejected. Finally, read over your application. Check for spelling and grammar. And do not use
chatspeak! It makes you look unprofessional and you will probably get rejected. Press "Submit", and wait a few days for a reply.
If you don't get a reply right away, don't send 5 e-mails saying "Did you read my application". Instead, if you don't
get a reply within a week, (most sites reply in about 1 to 5 days) then you send one e-mail, politely stating that
you applied for affiliate about a week ago, and that you are wondering if they received it.

If all goes well, and the person reading your applications approves of your site, you will be accepted.
Once you get an e-mail saying that you are accepted, reply and say "Thank you for accepting me. I will put up
your button shortly." Then, add their button on your site.

I hope this guide helped you learn more about how to get affiliates.
