Finding A Web Host

If you want to start a website, the first thing you need to know
is which web host you will use. A web host is a company or website that keeps the
data for your website.
A good web host should have the following qualities:
It should be easy to login and edit your website.
There should be little or no ads on your website.
It should look professional, and should look like a reliable site.
A site
that has broken links and images wouldn't be a very good web host.
It shouldn't be sending you annoying spam e-mails.
Now, there are four popular web hosts. Freewebs,
Awardspace, Freehostia, and BraveHost.
Each web host has flaws and strengths.
Freewebs
Freewebs is a good web host for beginners. You can build your website quickly,
and if your knowledge of HTML is low, you can edit using a visual editor. Or if you
prefer, you can also use an HTML editor. Freewebs is also handy because they display your pages all
at once, so you don't have to click many layers of files to find the page you want.
But, this may also be inconvenient when you have a lot of pages. Freewebs is a free
host, but a really bad quality is their attempts to make money. Their actual site has
ads, and Freewebs sometimes adds ads without letting people know, like when they added the blue
bar ad on the bottom on all the pages. Freewebs sometimes has downtime, but downtimes are pretty rare, and
only last a few hours. Overall, Freewebs is an average web host, ideal for
beginners. But if you feel that you're ready to step up to a better web host, you should
move to either Awardspace, or Freehostia.

Awardspace
Awardspace is a very good web host. Aqua Neo is hosted by Awardspace. However, Awardspace can
be difficult for beginners. Awardspace only has an HTML editor, so your knowledge of HTML should
be pretty high. Awardspace may be hard to navigate. It is difficult to edit your website's pages without
clicking at least 3 times. Awardspace is a free host. If you choose the Free Package, your will get
200 MB of disk space. (That's a lot, Aqua Neo takes up less than 5 MB!) That means that you can have almost
unlimited pages. Awardspace does have downtimes, and lately they have been pretty often, and the worst of it is that they
rarely post on the homepage of their website when they will have a maintenance. Also, Awardspace's
server speed isn't very fast. Overall, Awardspace is a good host.

Freehostia
Freehostia is basically the same as Awardspace - very useful. But Freehostia is even better than Awardspace - believe it
or not. True, Awardspace is more popular, and we are hosted by them, but if I had a choice to transfer our site to Freehostia,
I would definitely take the opportunity. Freehostia's navigation panel is much more simple to use, they have less downtime, and their server
speed is much faster than Awardspace's. An up is that you also get custom 404 error pages if you use Freehostia.
Freehostia's cPanel also has much less ads than Awardspace does. All in all, Freehostia is an excellent free web host.

BraveNet
BraveNet is a very useful web host. However, if you choose the Free Package, ads will be placed on your
website. These ads are flashy and quite large... And BraveNet sometimes has downtime. Sometimes, it can be up to a day long. Other than that, BraveNet
is a good website host. It offers many tools such as guestbooks, polls, forums, blogs, and journals, which can some in useful.
BraveNet also has a visual editor, like Freewebs. BraveNet's page editing navigation is also easy and convenient.
I used BraveNet, but only for a short time. Overall, BraveNet is a fine host.

Now that you have some background info, you can make your pick of your web host. Below, I ranked the web hosts. This is just
my thought, however. Your opinion comes first!
1. Freehostia
2. Awardspace
3. Freewebs
4. BraveNet
I hope that this guide helped you find a reliable web host! If you have any questions, comments, corrections, or
